Wimbledon schoolgirls approached by man

Police are hunting a man who exposed himself to a group of teenage girls in Crescent Road, Wimbledon.

The girls were walking along Crescent Road towards Worple Road when they saw a man on the same side of the road ahead of them - but as they approached, he unzipped his  trousers and performed a sex act in front of them.

The girls screamed and ran off, at which point the man also ran way. Police were called and an extensive search of the area was undertaken.

DC Ben Edwards of Wimbledon CID said: "This was a disturbing incident for these young girls and we are very keen to identify and arrest this offender. Thanks to their courage, we have been able to produce an e-FIT picture of what this man looks like.

He is described as an Asian man, 5'07" tall, of medium/chubby build. The incident took place at 4.15pm on Thursday September 9.
