Jigsaw Players Combine Music And Art


Chamber music group preparing for concert

The Jigsaw Players, a classical chamber music group, are getting ready for a concert entitled "Music and Art".

The concert takes place at Christ Church in Copse Hill, West Wimbledon, at 7.30pm on Saturday February 5.

It will combine an combination of an exhibition by artist Sarah Malcolm and programme of: Brahms A minor string Quartet and Strauss Metamorphosen for String Septet. Doors will actually open at 6.30pm to give a chance to view the artwork.

The musicians performing are:

Violins: David McCarroll  (internationally acclaimed solo and chamber musician), Jonathan Stone (member of the Doric String Quartet).

Violas: Nicholas Bootiman (sub-principal in the Philharmonia Orchestra), Emmanuella Reiter-Bootiman (member of the London Philharmonic Orchestra).

Cellos: Eve-Marie Caravassilis (former member of the Psophos Quartet, BBC new generation artist), Bartholomew LaFollette (under Young Concert Artist Trust management).

Double Bass: Tim Gibbs (Co-principal of the London Philharmonic Orchestra).
