Toys R Us comes to Colliers Wood

A new Toys 'R' Us store, which opens in Colliers Wood on Friday November 4, is creating up to 60 new jobs.

The store, on the Priory Retail Park, will be the first split level store opened by the megastore toy chain.

Ian Nicholson, the new store manager, said: "At the moment, we have locally sourced teams merchandising the store ready for its launch.

"A lot of hard work will take place over the next week to get the store fully fitted and stocked up, but the end result is all worth it."

Mike Coogan, Toys 'R' Us marketing director, said: "This is a multi-million pound investment for us. It's great to be in Colliers Wood and we're delighted to be opening our first split level store here".

• To mark the grand opening on Saturday November 5, there will be goody bags for children and hourly prize draws. Youngsters can also meet some of their favourite characters, including Bob the Builder and Geoffrey the Giraffe.
