Robert Lindsay Objects To Local Ale's Branding

By The Horns forced to change beer labels

Local microbrewery By The Horns has been forced to change the label of its Wolfie Smith ale following objections from actor Robert Lindsay.

The brewery, which is based in Summerstown in the shadow of Wimbledon Stadium, created the 5.2% strength beer last year.

It called the beer Wolfie Smith Amber Ale and designed a label carrying an image of Lindsay in his famous role of Citizen Smith.

But the actor has told them he doesn't want to be associated with alcohol, and the brewery has since put a red star on its labels (see right).

WimbledonSW19.com visited the brewery not long after it started brewing in 2011. It has since gone from strength-to-strength.
