Charity Gala Raises Vital Cash For Local Charities


Wimbledon firm hosts star-studded event

A black tie charity gala hosted by Wimbledon-based Paul Strank Roofing raised £64,677 for two local children's charities.

Guests at the event in Roehampton enjoyed a champagne reception and meal accompanied by speeches from representatives of the Shooting Star CHASE and OneLife UK charities as well as the Leader of Merton Council, Stephen Alambritis.

The night was hosted by Christopher Biggins and included entertainment from the following artists: Upcoming artists Hannah May and Lizzy Williams, X Factor's Johnny Robinson and Danyl Johnson, professional dancers Mario and Julia, BGT's Francine Lewis and was headlined by the Johnny Partridge and Hayley Sanderson with his band, Dames N Dudes.

Other guests on the night included Theo Paphitis (pictured) and his wife Debbie, Stavros Flatley, Lorraine Chase, Patti Russo, Tony Discipline, Petrie Hoskens, Jaqui Boatswain, Cheryl Fergison, TOWIE Stars Chris Drake and Charlie King and the AFC Wimbledon Manager Neil Ardley.

The evening also featured a stunt from AFC Wimbledon where the world's strongest footballer, Adebayo Akinfenwa, successfully bench pressed the club's Commercial Director, Ivor Heller.
