Man to appear in court to face charge

A 20-year-old man has been charged with the Boxing Day murder of Merton teenager, Seydou Diarrassouba.

The 18-year-old (left), a former pupil of Rutlish School in Merton Park, was killed in Oxford Street on Boxing Day following a fight in the Foot Locker sports shop.

Thulani Thomas Khumalo, from South Tottenham, was charged with his murder on Tuesday (January 24).

He will appear before Hendon Magistrates' Court on Wednesday (January 25).

Seven other men arrested after the death of Seydou, who died from a stab wound to his heart, remain on police bail pending further inquiries. They are aged 22, 17, 16, 22, 16, 16 and 20.
