Help Marie Curie Charity In Wimbledon

Local group looks for volunteers

Marie Curie Cancer Care is looking for volunteers in the Wimbledon area to help organise the charity's biggest annual fundraising campaign, the Great Daffodil Appeal.

The Great Daffodil Appeal encourages everyone to give a donation and wear the charity's iconic daffodil pin during March.

All of the money raised from the appeal will go straight to Marie Curie Cancer Care to enable them to continue their work providing high quality nursing care in the homes of terminally ill people, giving people the choice to die at home, supported by their families.

With planning for the 2013 campaign already underway, the local Marie Curie fundraising team are looking for volunteers to help in a variety of roles.

From organising local collections to delivering boxes of daffodils to shops in Wimbledon, by volunteering some of your time they say you'll be helping local people with a terminal illness to get the care they need.

If you'd like to help, contact Helen Simpson on helen.simpson@mariecurie.org.uk, or 020 7599 7338 or visit www.mariecurie.org.uk/daffodil for more information.
