Actor is star attraction at Wimbledon Guild event

Olivier-award winning actor, Matthew Kelly, kicked off the Wimbledon Guild's countdown to Christmas, welcoming guests and posing for photos whilst party goers sipped their favourite festive tipples.

He was guest of honour at the Guild's Magic of Christmas Party at Drake House in St George's Road on Tuesday (December 17).

Visitors were eased into the Christmas spirit with holiday carols performed by The Priory, St Mary's and Captsticks choirs. While some worked up appetites with a pre-lunch Zumba session before enjoying a festive feast.

Wendy Pridmore, Chief executive of the Wimbledon Guild, said: "Our Magic of Christmas Party was a fun-packed day which guests and staff both thoroughly enjoyed.

"Supporting ageing is extremely important to us at The Wimbledon Guild and we are so glad that we were able to bring so many people together to celebrate and enjoy each other’s company at this special time of year".
