Emma Hamilton scheme opponents to meet developers

Residents fighting plans to replace a landmark Wimbledon Chase pub with flats and four shops are set to meet later this month.

The Wimbledon Chase Residents' Association (WCRA) is opposing the plans for the Emma Hamilton site in Kingston Road (left).

They say the block (below) originally being planned by Stadium Capital Holdings is too big and will dominate the area. There are also concerns about parking issues the development could create.

 

 

 

 

 

But WCRA now says the developers are reconsidering the development and are seeking a second meeting with a sub-group of the residents' group.

The latest situation will be discussed at the next WCRA meeting, which is due to take place on Tuesday May 29 from 8pm-9pm at the Baptist Church Hall on Botsford Road.
