Merton Arts Festival takes place over two September weekends
Merton Arts Festival, including artist open house events, will be taking place across the borough over the weekends of September 17/18 and 24/25.
It follows on from the Merton Arts Trail, where local artists - many of them in Wimbledon - opened their houses and studios every year.
This new style event will include emerging and established artists in the borough opening their houses and studios to the public from 11am-5pm.
There will also be 'Lost & Found' Open Exhibitions - an innovation this year to give the festival a broad theme.
Local and guest artists will be invited to submit work, encouraging them to push the boundaries of their creativity. The plan is that ‘Lost & Found’ will be curated in public spaces - churches, schools and colleges, pubs, theatres and parks - all around the borough. It will run throughout the week from 11am-5pm, September 15-25.
