Time To Enter Merton Best Business Awards

New Extra Mile category is launched

A new category in the 2013 Merton Best Business Awards will see companies rewarded for 'giving something back' - The Extra Mile award.

The new category is being overseen by the Merton Voluntary Service Council (MVSC), who are Gold Sponsors of the Merton Best Business Awards.

The awards are organised by Merton Chamber of Commerce and supported by Merton Council and WSM as headline sponsors. They're also supported by many other Merton businesses.

Any business can enter up to three categories and it's free to enter.

MVSC said its category - The Extra Mile - is aimed at businesses who like to 'give something back'. They want to hear what companies get up to locally, how they do it and why.

Time To Enter Merton Best Business Awards Speaking on behalf of Merton Chamber of Commerce, Chief Executive Diana Sterck said: "It was a privilege to launch the inaugural Merton Best Business Awards in the delightful setting of the Orangerie at Cannizaro House and have so many businesses already in support of this showcase initiative."

Leader of Merton Council, Councillor Stephen Alambritis, said: "The launch of the 2013 Merton Best Business Awards has been a great success and I very much look forward to the awards ceremony later this year."
