Events to aid local businesses

Merton Chamber of Commerce will soon be marking its 20th birthday with a special AGM on Tuesday May 1.

This year's AGM at Cannizaro House Hotel will include a buffet on the terrace, with the chance to talk to members and former members.

The Wimbledon-based Chamber also has a series of workshops and networking events which could benefit local businesses.

These include learning about "Twitter for Business" at the Ursline High School in Wimbledon on Wednesday April 25 and "Emergency First Aid at Work" at Tuition House in Wimbledon on Wednesday May 3.

And the next Wimbledon Business Forum will offer a chance to meet the new Love Wimbledon Business Improvement District manager, Helen Jones.

It takes place at 40 The Hill in Wimbledon Hill Road at 9.30am on Thursday May 10 and will also encourage discussion about key issues facing Wimbledon.
