Chance to rate your library
Merton Libraries are calling on young people to give their feedback about library services through the Young People's Library Survey taking place from October 21 – November 2.
Focusing on services for young people and children, the survey aims to find out how users rate their local library.
The survey is taking place in all seven of Merton's libraries and will give customers aged 16 and under the opportunity to give their opinion on library opening hours, customer services, book stock, events and much more. Parents can give their feedback for children aged 0-7 years.
As well as being able to give feedback which will help inform the council on future development of library services, young people will have the opportunity to get involved in a range of events and to complete a prize entry slip for a chance to win tickets to Merton’s fireworks display, cinema tickets and DVD vouchers.
Merton Council’s cabinet member for community and culture, Councillor Nick Draper, said: "We carry out annual surveys to help us gather a meaningful view of what our users think about our services. Young people and children are amongst the most dedicated of our library users and it’s really important that they get to give their feedback too.
"We are always looking for ways to improve our service for everyone and I would encourage parents to get their kids down to their local library and let us know what they think."
