Have Your Say On Local Libraries

Are you happy with Wimbledon Library?...

Library users will be asked what they think about the Merton Council library services through the national e-Public Library User Survey (e-PLUS) from September 22-28.

Focusing on ICT and web services for adults, this year's survey aims to find out how users rate their local library. The survey will give library users aged 16 or over the opportunity to give their opinion on the online and IT services available at Merton Libraries.

Since the last ICT Public Library User Survey in 2011 there have been a range of improvements made to IT services. These include upgraded PCs, upgraded PC software, expansion of online resources, free wi-fi, free eBooks and eMagazines and one to one IT support sessions.

As well as being able to give feedback which will help inform the council on future development of library services, participants will have the opportunity to complete a prize entry slip for a chance to win a family ticket to Merton's Bonfire and Fireworks night, cinema tickets and DVD vouchers.

Merton Council’s cabinet member for community and culture, Councillor Nick Draper said: "The e-PLUS survey helps us gather a meaningful assessment of users’ views, and helps measure the quality of service rather than just dealing with quantities, meaning that we can properly review how our libraries serve the community. Make sure you get down to your local library next week to let them know what you think about their services and get involved in the events being run as part of the e-PLUS survey."
