Run against Haydon the Womble

Organisers are looking for entrants to join AFC Wimbledon's Haydon the Womble in a mascot race being staged as part of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations.

The event takes place at Mitcham Fair on Saturday June 2, so there's plenty of chance to get in training.

There will be medals for all competitors and trophies for both the winning mascot and the mascot who raises most money for local children's charity and Merton Chamber of Commerce member, Home Start Merton.

Debra the Zebra is the current champion, but the title's there for the taking! If you have a company mascot, even if you don’t have someone to wear it, and would like to be represented, contact Clive Yelf on communitydons@talktalk.net for further information.
