Singers Mark Diamond Jubilee

Choral concert in Merton Park

The Queen's Diamond Jubilee will be marked in Merton Park with a choral concert given by Fulham Camerata.

It will include firm favourites such as Parry's I Was Glad, delicate madrigals in praise of the first Queen Elizabeth, audience participation in stirring pieces such as Vaughan Williams' arrangement of All People That On Earth Do Dwell, and the world premiere of a wickedly tongue in cheek work, The Sovereign Queen, in praise of the current monarch, by Julian Marshall, who had a massive hit in the 1970s with Dancing in the City.

It takes place on Saturday May 26 at 7.30pm in St Mary's Merton, Church Path.

Tickets are £12/10. Ring 0208-542-8687.
