Education and health up for debate
Proposals for a new free school in Merton Park will be among the issues discussed at the next local residents' association meeting on Tuesday June 7.
Vince Harris, chairman of the Wimbledon House Free School campaign group, will outline their proposals for the derelict building in Dorset Road.
The move would help solve the problem of shortage of primary school places in Wimbledon, with some pupils needing to live within 200 yards of a school to get a place. For more: Click here.
Dr Chris Elliott will also explain the way that plans for GP commissioning in the NHS may impact services in Merton.
The meeting takes place in Merton Park School (Erridge Road entrance) from 8pm. The next meeting is Tuesday July 5.
