Local PC is suspended from duty
A Merton PC will appear in court tomorrow (November 21) after being charged with a sex offence.
PC Irshad Kamal, aged 44, has been charged with sexual touching, contrary to the Sexual Offences Act 2003. He has also been charged with harassment.
He will appear in custody at Westminster Magistrates' Court.
A Met Police statement said PC Kamal has been suspended from duty and added that the alleged offences took place while he was off-duty.
