Local Remembrance Day services
Two Remembrance Day services will be held in Merton on Tuesday (November 11) at the following locations:
10.50am: Merton Civic Centre, Morden
Attended by: Mayor of Merton
10.50am: Mitcham Clock Tower, Mitcham Fair Green
Attended by: Deputy Mayor of Merton
Mayor of Merton, Councillor Agatha Akyigyina said: “Remembrance Day is a time for the Merton community to come together to pay tribute to those who sacrificed their lives for this country. With this year marking the 100th anniversary since the start of World War One, I hope residents will join us in honouring the brave individuals who are gone but certainly not forgotten.”
