Merton's 'Most Wanted' Images Released

Do you recognise any of these people?

Police hunting people involved in the August disorder in Colliers Wood have released more images of those they are most keen to arrest.

The release of these "Merton most wanted" images is part of a wider Met campaign which will see it releasing 213 images from crimes that took place across London.

Across the capital, there was trouble in 22 London boroughs, and 3,877 crimes reported to the police. In Merton, there were 57 reported crimes.

So far, the public have helped the police make 3,269 arrests, with 2,046 charged or summoned.

The release of further images (below and right) is thanks to the continuing work from the investigating team, who are examining many hours of CCTV footage to obtain identifiable images.

Commander Steve Rodhouse, Gold for Operation Withern said: "I would like to thank the public for continuing to assist us with this investigation, without their help positive identifications on several images would not have been made.

"Four months on from the disorder my team of officers remain absolutely committed to identifying, arresting and charging those involved in the criminality that took place.

"The investigation is a huge challenge and one that will continue for some time to come but I want to reassure London’s communities that we are determined to bring those who committed these outrageous crimes to justice and more arrests will follow.

I urge anyone with any information to come forward."

Any one with information can contact 0208 247 3841/2 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111, quoting the reference number underneath the image.
