Wimbledon Defeated By Milton Keynes

Milton Keynes 1 v Wimbledon 0

Wimbledon lost 1-0 at Milton Keynes on Saturday (10 December) in a League One match.

The only goal of the game was scored in the 64th minute when Dean Bowditch scored a penalty after Dean Lewington was fouled by Dannie Bulman.

This is only the second time that the Dons have lost on their travels this season, since the opening-day defeat at Walsall.

In the first half, Milton Keynes’ Ed Upson twice forced a save from James Shea.

For the Dons, Jake Reeves shot over when a chance fell to him following a corner, but neither side looked potent in front of goal.

On the hour, Wimbledon brought on Lyle Taylor and Chris Whelpdale as they sought to make inroads, but a few minutes later they were behind.

Both sides continued to struggle to create chances, with Taylor flicking one effort wide while David Martin was also forced to save a George Francomb goal-bound effort following a Whelpdale throw.

Wimbledon will be pleased to return to normal football action next weekend when they entertain Port Vale at Kingsmeadow (Saturday 17 December).
