Move follows pressure from Wimbledon businesses
Twenty minute free parking zones could be introduced in two parts of Wimbledon following consultation with residents and businesses.
Merton council is now asking for local people to give their views on 20-minute parking zones in The Rush and Kingston Road in Merton Park as well as a section of The Broadway in Wimbledon town centre.
They are asking for views to be sent to trafficandhighways@merton.gov.uk before September 4.
The council says the proposed changes follow local businesses making representations about the lack of short-term parking in their area.
Merton Park councillors say they have been campaigning for "many years" for 20 minutes free parking at The Rush.
