Tunes from the bandstand
Enjoy music from a bandstand stage at the The John Innes Society's 'Music in the Park' event, which takes place on Saturday June 25.
This year's performance at the Bandstand in the John Innes Park in Mostyn Road, will be a double bill featuring the the Cherry Pie Music Choir and The Rob Paterson Trio.
The Cherry Pie Music Choir are a dynamic group of local singers and promise an up-tempo selection of modern pop while The Rob Paterson Trio will deliver a set of the cool jazz.
Tickets are £10 for adults and £4 for 8 to 16-year-olds and should be bought in advance from Harold Forbes on 0208-540-3314 or Chris Stutt on 0208-543-6843. There is an early-bird discount of £2 available on adult tickets bought before June 21 and all children must be accompanied by an adult.
Organisers from the John Innes Society are reminding people to make the most of the evening by bringing a picnic for the event, which starts at 7pm.
