Private Gardens Open Their Gates

Chance to see two local gardens

Among the private gardens being opened to the public gaze as part of the National Garden Scheme open day are two in Wimbledon.

Susan Adcock is opening up her garden at 123 South Park Road, SW19 8RX, from 2pm- 6pm on June 19. The price is £2.50 and free to children. Cakes and cordial will be available.

The garden is twinned with another garden at 100 Pitt Crescent, so it's possible to make an afternoon of it.

The National Gardens Scheme is a charity which has been running for a 100 years and involves private gardens opening to the public for a day or so a year for charity. Gardens are vetted and approved, and written up in a national "Yellow Book".
