Give your views on building materials for care home
The construction phase of the new Local Care Centre being built on the site of the former Nelson Hospital is now underway.
The project is set for completion in January 2015, when the main entrance will look like the artist's impression on the right.
The full development taking place on the site in Kingston Road, Merton Park, will also include a MacCarthy & Stone care home.
Site preparation for the care home is also progressing and the developer is seeking council agreement for their proposed building materials.
As part of that process, residents are being given the chance to see and comment on the materials.
The John Innes Society has arranged for sample materials to be displayed in the window of their Coach House in Melrose Road until September 22 so that all residents can view them.
