A range of community facilities will also be on offer
The new Colliers Wood Library, including a range of community facilities, is set to open next month.
Merton Council says the new library is set to open in late January and will be arranged over three levels, with more space given over to books, a coffee shop, community meeting rooms, special activity zones and a larger children’s area.
Residents have been using a temporary library at Merton Vison, Guardian Centre in Clarendon Road whilst the new library is being built. This will close on Saturday December 16 to allow staff time to transfer equipment and setup the new Colliers Wood Library.
Customers needing to renew loaned items during the interim can take advantage of the borough’s online service. Loaned items can also be renewed or returned to one of Merton’s six other libraries. Details on all of these services can be found by visiting the Merton Libraries website.
