Love Wimbledon Phone App Is Launched

A new phone app for Wimbledon has been released to celebrate the launch of the Love Wimbledon Business Improvement District (BID).

The free app can be downloaded directly from the Android and iPhone app stores or www.lovewimbledon.org/app.

The app includes details of retail and leisure special offers that visitors can take advantage of when in Wimbledon. See the picture of the app on the right.

It will include the @lovewimbledon twitter feed, as well as information on events and entertainment in the town centre.

Details of The Wimbledon Way can also be found on the app, encouraging visitors to walk to the All England Club and learn more about the heritage of the area of Wimbledon, along with an easy to use map – a simple navigation tool for visitors to the area and the latest national news and sport.

"This is a really exciting project for Wimbledon," said Helen Clark Bell, Love Wimbledon BID Manager, "our aim is to promote Wimbledon as a great place to visit for shopping, leisure and business, and to give Wimbledon businesses every opportunity to promote their products and services".
