Celebrating New Year In Colliers Wood

New Year's Eve Extravaganza

The Colliers Wood Chorus are holding a "New Year's Eve Extravaganza" to celebrate the end of 2011.

The choir will be joined by special guests, including the Colliers Wood International Ukulele Orchestra.

Some of the evening's ensemble numbers performed by the 75-strong community choir will include:

  • Hallelujah (Cohen)
  • Blessing (Killerby)
  • California Dreamin' (Phillips/Phillips)
  • Deck The Hall (Trad.)
  • New Year Carol (Britten)
  • Ej Lásko, Lásko (Trad.), from their Czech visitors
  • Scarborough Canticle (Simon/Garfunkel)
  • Radiance (Trad.)
  • Champagne (Strauss).

Some of the duets and solos will include:

  • Glitter and be Gay (Bernstein)
  • In the Still of the Night (Porter)
  • Duetto du Gatti (Rossini).

The event, which costs &Pound;8 for full price tickets and &Pound;4 for concessions, runs from 5.30pm-7.30pm on Saturday (December 31) to give people chance to get to New Year's Eve parties.
