Teenager died after stab wound to the heart
The teenager stabbed to death on Oxford Street in the Boxing Day sales has been named as a former pupil of Rutlish School in Merton Park.
The 18-year-old died from a single stab wound to his heart after a fight broke out in the Foot Locker sports shop on Monday (December 26).
He has been named as
Seydou Diarrassouba (left), a former pupil of the Watery Lane school, who lived in Phipps Bridge Road, Mitcham.
A Facebook page has been flooded with comments from his friends and others.
A post mortem examination at Westminster Mortuary on Tuesday (December 27) gave the cause of death as a single stab wound to the heart.
Detectives are continuing to appeal for witnesses and information. Police were called to Oxford Street near its junction with Stratford Place at 1.45pm on Monday (December 26).
Officers, London Ambulance Service and London's Air Ambulance attended, but Seydou was pronounced dead at the scene.
An incident room is now open at Lewisham police station.
Detective Superintendent John Sweeney, from the Homicide and Serious Crime Command, said: "Our sympathy goes to the family of the victim at this time and we are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
"We know there were a number of people filming the incident inside Foot Locker and may have captured the incident or its aftermath and we are appealing for these people to contact us."

- Eleven people - one aged 16; three aged 17; five aged 19 and two aged 22 - were arrested in connection with this incident and later bailed to dates in mid-January. Police also recovered a number of weapons.
