Poetry Slam In Colliers Wood

Poets compete for a cash prize

A 'Poetry Slam' takes place at Donald Hope Library in Colliers Wood on Thursday March 27.

The event, part of the Colliers Wood Spring Arts Festival, starts at 7pm.

This year's theme is "Liberty" inspired by William Morris and Liberty prints and all ages, abilities and styles are welcome.

Poets will be given the opportunity to perform their own poems to a live audience for no more than three minutes per poem. There's a winning prize of £50 cash and two consolation prizes for runner ups.

It costs £2 for adult tickets on the door. There's free entry for children.
