Consultation taking place on plans
Pop-up urinals could be installed in Wimbledon town centre for men to use on late Friday and Saturday nights.
The urinals will appear from beneath the pavement outside Tesco on The Broadway at around 11.30pm, and remain available for use until 4am. They will then disappear below ground level.
Similar facilities are in use elsewhere in London and have been hailed a success against the anti-social behaviour of men relieving themselves on street corners.
Wimbledon Town Centre managers are now carrying out a survey asking for views on the idea before making a final decision on the plans.
