Engagement Ring Lost - On Valentine's Day

Devastated Natalia hunts for lost ring

Bride-to-be Natalia Alexandrou is devastated after losing her engagement ring on the way to work in Wimbledon - and on Valentine's Day.

Natalia, aged 27, is due to marry fiance Steven Thomson, 28, in May, but earlier today (February 14) realised she had lost her ring.

She took the train to work from home in Epsom, but noticed the ring was missing when she got to the Hartfield Road junction in Wimbledon.

Natalia and Steven (pictured right) had picked the ring, which includes a half-carat diamond and platinum band, together at a Hatton Garden jewellery shop.

She alerted staff at South West Trains, who searched the train when it got to Waterloo station. Merton Council has also asked its street cleaners to look out for the ring (left).

Natalia, who works at the Wimbledon-based Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, said: "I'm absolutely devastated. There's just no sign of it. I've scoured the pavements of Wimbledon."

If you have any information about the ring, email nalexandrou@hotmail.co.uk. She said there would be a reward for anyone involved in its safe return.
