Monthly clean-up event is off Plough Lane
The next River Wandle clean-up takes place off Plough Lane, between Wimbledon Stadium and Haydons Road on Sunday (November 9).
It starts with a
Health and Safety briefing at 11am. Everyone will then get waders on and work until 3pm, with a break at about 1 pm for tea, coffee and cake provided by The Wandle Trust. You may like to bring your own picnic lunch.
The Trust says it's grateful to the Waste Management team at Merton Council for their support in taking the rubbish away.
