Romantic Jigsaw Players


Local classical concert

The Jigsaw Players have established themselves over the last three seasons as an essential part of Wimbledon's musical scene.

The musicians for each programme are drawn from a pool of players, all of them international prize winners, members of England's most prestigious orchestras (London Philharmonic Orchestra, London Symphony Orchestra & Philharmonia Orchestra) and/or of internationally renowned chamber music groups (the Doric String Quartet, the Heath String Quartet and the Aronowitz Ensemble).

They will next be performing on Saturday April 21. Their concert, entitled "Romantics", features: Schoenberg Varklarte Nacht Op.4 and Brahms String Sextet Op.36 in G Major.

It takes place at 7.30pm at Christ Church, Copse Hill, West Wimbledon.

And there's a special offer at The Light House Restaurant, with a pre-concert dinner of two courses with a glass of wine and coffee for £35 including the concert ticket. There's also have a fund-raising evening at the Light House, on Sunday May 13. Doors will open at 6.15pm. You will be greeted by a glass of prosecco before the concert at 7pm followed by a 3-course meal.
