Developers want to build nine homes on the site
A public meeting is being held over plans to demolish Rose Cottage on Hamilton Road, Wimbledon, and replace it with housing.
Developers Beliche Comercio International Ltd has applied to build nine homes on the site, which is on the 'Battles Estate'.
A previous planning application for six homes on the site was approved. But this did not involve the demolition of early 19th century Rose Cottage.
The new scheme is being opposed by the Battles Area Residents' Association (BARA), which set up a petition against the plans.
BARA is also holding a public meeting to discuss the plans at 8.15pm on Thursday (September 21) at the SWCA Hall in Victory Road.
