Shout About Your Volunteering In Merton

Celebrating the contribution of local volunteers

Throughout January, 22 Merton-based volunteers took part in the 'SHOUT ABOUT YOUR VOLUNTEERING' campaign.

It celebrated the remarkable contribution Merton's residents and employees make to the borough by giving their time without payment.

The stories many of the volunteers had to tell also demonstrated the range of innovative and flexible ways in which people can volunteer locally.

Just click on the links to the right-hand panel to read the stories of volunteers who were featured from the SW19 area.

Once you've read their stories and been inspired, why not contact Hayley James (Volunteering Strategy Programme Manager based at MVSC) to get involved yourself?

Hayley is carrying out a study to identify how easy (or difficult!) it is to get involved in volunteering in your local community. If you are interested in taking part, contact Hayley now on hayley@mvsc.co.uk or 020 8685 2272.

The campaign is part of the Merton Partnership’s Volunteering and Community Action Strategy.
