Summer Theatre In Merton Park

Young people are keeping Shakespeare Alive

Local children are being given the chance to keep Shakespeare alive as they take part in a summer theatre project.

Reflect Productions is making the 450th anniversary of the bard by running a Summer Shakespeare school in Merton Park for youngsters aged from 3-17. They are also running week-long musical projects.

This Summer 3-6 year olds are putting together a production of 'Chicken Licken' and 3-17 year olds are creating Propsero's magical island in 'The Tempest'. All students have a role to play.

The weekday sessions are at Merton park Primary School, while the Saturday Performing Arts' Programme and holiday programmes are held at St Mary's Church Hall, Merton Park.

Next term, Reflect will be staging Disney's Alice in Wonderland with our term-time drama club and Performing Arts' Students - this will finish with a big show before the Christmas holidays with a cast over 100 students.
