Volunteering Meets Merton Businesses

Two local workshops are planned

Two workshops aiming to identify ways in which voluntary, community and faith groups can work with local businesses in Merton are being staged in September.

The workshops are aimed at:

  • current volunteers and those who have volunteered in the past
  • representatives of voluntary, faith and community groups and organisations
  • members of the community who are interested in the topic.

They are being organised by Merton Voluntary Service Council (MVSC), and take place in the Vestry Hall Mitcham on Tuesday September 11, from 6pm-8pm, and Thursday September 20, from 2.30pm-4.30pm.

MVSC says: "As a sector we need to think proactively about how we will continue to work for our communities in a changing political, financial and social environment."

In attendance at the workshops will be Hayley James, Volunteering Strategy Programme Manager at MVSC and Ray Kinsella, Business Engagement Manager at Merton Chamber of Commerce.
