Learn An Historic Craft

Workshop at Wandle Industrial Museum

A 'pouncing' workshop is taking place at the Wandle Industrial Museum, giving the chance to learn a traditional way of transferring patterns to unfired tiles.

Those attending will be shown the techniques of William De Morgan in which pounce (loose graphite or charcoal) is rubbed through small holes punched in a paper pattern onto the tiles.

It takes from 2pm-4pm on Sunday March 25 at the Wandle Industrial Museum at Lower Green, London Road, Mitcham.
