We Sponsor A Dons' Hero

Marcus Gayle gets this site's support

The away kit of AFC Wimbledon's Development Squad Manager, Marcus Gayle, is being proudly sponsored this season by www.wimbledonsw19.com.

Jamaican international and Dons legend, Marcus (right) was the first signing by current manager Terry Brown.

He played 285 games for Wimbledon, scoring 47 times in a seven year spell after Joe Kinnear signed him from Brentford in 1994.

During his time with Wimbledon he earned 14 international caps for Jamaica and went to the 1998 World Cup in France before a £900,000 move to Glasgow Rangers.

For many his most memorable moment in yellow and blue came in February 1997 when he headed home to seal a 1-0 victory over holders Manchester United in the FA Cup 4th Round replay at Selhurst Park.

He also played for Watford, Brentford and Aldershot, before signing for AFC Wimbledon in 2007. Following his retirement from playing, he became the club's Reserve Team Manager and is now Development Squad Manager.

Look out for our name on the sponsorship page in the club's programme and remember to follow our match reports from every game.
