Football fixtures for 2014-15 are released

Wimbledon's first match of the 2014-15 season will be home against relegated Shrewsbury on Saturday August 9.

Their first away game is against a team who came the other way - at Luton Town, who were promoted from the Conference. That takes place on Saturday August 16.

Also in August will be the small matter of a Capital One Cup tie at Milton Keynes.

The rest of August's fixtures are:

Tuesday 19 August Southend United (a)

Saturday 23 August Hartlepool United (h)

Saturday 30 August Stevenage (h).

The Boxing Day game will see Wimbledon visit Portsmouth, and on Saturday January 3, there's a trip to promoted Cambridge United.

The final game of the season will be at home against Cheltenham Town on Saturday May 2.
