Wimbledon Town Centre To Host Some Arty Fun
Autumn Arts event to take place on The Piazza
Love Wimbledon’s Arts Market is back in the town centre Piazza on September 15 and 16 giving you chance to enjoy art projects and craft activities, as well as visits from The Gruffalo and Stick Man.
The Arts Market runs from 11am – 6pm on both days and will feature original and hand crafted work from local artists and designers, including oil on canvas, watercolours, art prints, painted pottery, photographic prints, art gallery for children’s rooms, upcycled handmade gifts and more.
Enjoy live music as you shop, hot food stands and have a go at the arts activities also available throughout the weekend.
Saturday September 15: ‘There’s no such thing as a gruffalo?’ Oh yes there is and he’s coming to Wimbledon! Enjoy a meet and greet with the Gruffalo at intervals throughout the day.
Sunday September 16: ‘Stick Man lives in the family tree with his Stick Lady Love and their stick children three”. And now he’s heading on an epic adventure… to Wimbledon!
On both days, make animal masks with Polka Theatre and hear about their up coming shows (including Wind and The Willows). Have a go at mosaic making, candle making and finger knitting too!
Wimbledon Autumn Arts takes place on The Piazza in Wimbledon (outside Morrisons and The Odeon cinema).
