Tickets for this year's event go on sale next month
Wimbledon BookFest's 2018 programme is set to be packed with top writers and events to suit all tastes, from politics to poetry, sport to science, film to fiction as well as music, comedy and children's events.
The 2018 Festival line-up features big name celebrities including Graham Norton, comedy nights with Alan Davies, Ed Byrne and Mark Watson, and the much loved chef, Yotam Ottolenghi.
'Regeneration' author Pat Barker headlines a line-up of top novelists, such as Lionel Shriver, Hanan Al-Sheikh and Patrick Gale. Children's events include Sophie Kinsella, 'Supertato', The Bookshop Band and Jessie Burton.
Music events feature Humphrey Burton discussing Leonard Bernstein, and Radio X DJ John Kennedy talking to Billy Bragg. Brian Moore will be interviewing former rugby player Rob Andrew, Alan Rusbridger will be discussing the need for good journalism and former President of Ireland, Mary Robinson will share her manifesto for the climate. Peter Hain will be talking personally about Nelson Mandela and Luke Harding & David Omand (Former Director, GCHQ) will give their insights on Russia.
It takes place in Wimbledon from October 4-14, with the main events taking place in the Bookfest's 'Big Tent' on Wimbledon Common.
