Wimbledon Common Will Host Chamber's Golf Day

Part of drive to help employers promote health in business

A golf day is being hosted by Merton Chamber of Commerce as part of its drive to support employers in the borough to develop good practice by promoting health and wellbeing in business in effective, achievable ways.

Since its inception in summer 2015 it has held a number of events around Healthy Workplace, and the borough is exceeding the target number of businesses in Merton signed up to the London Healthy Workplace Charter.

Now it is holding a golf day event - supported by the London Society of Chartered Accountants - at Wimbledon Common Golf Club on April 21.

They ask businesses in Merton to join up as a work team of four or as individuals to be put together with other local businesses, for an afternoon of golf and socialising.

Following the afternoon golf session, attendees will enjoy a drink followed by an evening of networking over a buffet supper.

There will be a prize presentation and guest speaker, Jackie Smyth from the Fairlight Project, will brief guests about mindfulness and resilience in the workplace, in support of the London Healthy Workplace Charter backed by Merton Chamber of Commerce.
