Wimbledon Eateries Honoured In Curry Awards

Local businesses recognised at national event

Two Wimbledon-based Indian eateries have been honoured in the English Curry Awards.

K2 Indian Takeaway, from Durnsford Road, Wimbledon, has been awarded best Takeway in London - an award it won last year.

While Khanage in The Broadway, Wimbledon, won the Best New Restaurant award.

More than 10,000 nominations came in from all across England for the 4th annnual awards. The awards ceremony took place in Manchester earlier this month.

As well as recognising the curry industry in all its facets, the event also raised just over £1,500 for the official charity partners, The Well Foundation.
