Local competitor in Civil Service Games

Wimbledon fencer Tim Buzwell competed in the Civil Service Games at Loughborough University on September 17.

This was the seventh event of its kind and many sports were featured including Men's and women's football, badminton, golf, netball, rugby, tennis, archery, athletics and fencing. 

Tim competed in Foil, Epee and Sabre where he won gold in the foil, silver in the épée and bronze in the sabre so won the the overall Master of Arms title.

If you fancy learning the Olympic sport of fencing, Wimbledon Fencing Club is running a beginner's foil course, starting on October 7.
