Latest news from Wimbledon Fencing Club
Wimbledon fencer Tim Buzwell was selected to fence épée in the British Veterans team in the annual match against Germany which took place in Darmstadt recently.
The British épée team beat the Germans 5-4.
Also in the Surrey one-hit épée competition at Epsom College, Mark Richardson got silver with nine wins – losing out to former Wimbledon fencer Aaron Gardner of Crawley Sword who got ten victories.
Rachel Carter won the women's gold with five wins. Simon White came fifth after being tied equal third with two other fencers and losing out in a barrage for bronze.

In the Youth team foil also at Epsom College, Hishaam Yunas, Aiden Watkins and Canesh Karrunavannan took gold. They are pictured below right.
Wimbledon Fencing Club run regular courses for beginners and are running a taster session on Wednesday September 23.
