Wimbledon Common Golf Club Hosts Charity Event

More than £2,500 is raised for charity

Forty golfers from South Africa, Zimbabwe, Botswana and Kenya took part in a charity match at Wimbledon Golf Club.

It was organised by Tyroan Denny for his charity "Build Africa", which is fighting poverty in rural African communities, by working to help children get a better education, and parents earn a secure living – so that together they can find long-term solutions to inequality.

He said: “I have used WCGC for my charity days for some years now because the course always looks great and the club looks after us so well”.  During the day Tyroan estimated he collected over £2,500.
