Café And New Activities For Wimbledon Guild


Staff and volunteers promise something for all

The Wimbledon Guild is about to open its own café and launch a new activity programme - promising something to suit everyone.

The new activitity programme supports older people in meeting their personal and emotional aspirations by encouraging them to live independently with confidence and can be chosen from according to preference and need - from cream teas and bingo to zumba.

And the new café at The Wimbledon Guild headquarters, Worple Road, offering for coffee, tea and meals, and is open to all on Mondays – Fridays from Tuesday (October 22).

Chief Executive, Wendy Pridmore said: "We're really excited to be able to officially launch the new Wimbledon Guild activities programme and café. We have successfully integrated the Merton Ageing Well initiative into our programme, which has been put together with the evolving needs of the community in mind.

"A huge amount of hard work and good will has gone into making it happen and The Wimbledon Guild staff and volunteers are dedicated to delivering an engaging and varied social experience for all. We are confident that The New Wimbledon Guild programme offers a better service for our customers than ever before."
