Wimbledon Guild Launches Winter Fuel Campaign

Donate your winter fuel allowance to the needy

As festive feelings rise and temperatures drop, this season can be a struggle for many older members of the local community.

The Wimbledon Guild is tackling this by bringing relief to those in need with their annual Winter Fuel Campaign.

The Winter Fuel Campaign gives more fortunate members of the community the opportunity to donate their winter fuel allowances, which are then redistributed to those in need.

Generous donations, like those received from Donhead School in Edge Hill, Wimbledon, are vital to The Wimbledon Guild's work in supporting older members of the community.

Chief Executive, Wendy Pridmore said: "We are truly grateful for every donation we receive towards The Winter Fuel Campaign. The allowance really does make life changing differences to older people and ensures they are kept warm and comfortable during otherwise difficult winter months".

Every penny given will be used to support local people in the Merton area. To donate, visit the ‘Donate Now’ page via wimbledonguild.co.uk, telephone: 0208 946 0735 or send a cheque to: The Wimbledon Guild, Winter Fuel, Guild House, 30/32 Worple Road, Wimbledon, London SW19 4EF. To make your donation go even further, pick up a gift aid form at The Wimbledon Guild.

The Wimbledon Guild holds supporting ageing as one of three core aims alongside tackling poverty and encouraging mental well-being. In this economic climate, it says the need for these services has never been greater.
